When you live in a time where the rest of the world is constantly chasing after success and trends, it is important to take a step back and slow down to take in the sights and the sounds. Slow living is a lifestyle choice that more and more people seem to be taking up amid our accelerating pace of life, and it is the very concept that Timepeace revolves around.

To truly embody the concept of slow living, only the essentials were included in the decor to create a minimal and clutter-free environment. Timeless materials and a classic, soft colour palette – with light wood at the forefront – were used to encourage a sense of serenity and peace within the home for a simpler and more meaningful life. Recessed cove lighting can be found in various spots, most noticeably in the kitchen, to softly illuminate and introduce warmth to the entire apartment.

More spaces that promoted the human connection and intimacy were added as well, such as the homey sofa that sits by the window in the living room and the built-in settee in the foyer that brings forth the image of a small family lounging and spending precious time together, doing what they love with the people they love. The foyer is also tucked snugly in between the dining room and the kitchen with door frames that align perfectly with each other, creating an otherworldly effect that seems to whisk you away from the fast-paced life others lead.

Adding on to the effect is the cantilever countertop that stands in the middle of the kitchen as though it were the star of the show. The outstretched counter comes with rounded corners that contrasts against the angular elements of the kitchen and not only creates the illusion of a more spacious kitchen, but also appears to float, creating an ethereal beauty that seems like it is not of this world.
